110 Years Of Service

In a world where loyalty and commitment can be in short supply a group of 9 staff members from Movilla House, have been officially thanked and recognised for their long and dedicated service to the home – totalling a combined 110 years of service among them!

Three members of staff were recognised and thanked for dedicating 20 years to the home. Each staff member was presented with a certificate and gift. Those recognised carry out a wide range of roles at the home, including care assistants, domestic assistants, administration and catering.

We were delighted to hold a brunch and present long service awards to our dedicated team. The morning was a huge success.

It made us extremely proud to be able to thank so many of our team for dedicating their time, energy and commitment to Movilla House, and everyone who lives here. We are looking forward to many more years of working with all of the team members.

Graeme Jellie, Home Manager said: “We’re delighted to be celebrating 110 years of loyal service. The staff involved have demonstrated huge levels of dedication and loyalty to this home and its residents year after year. I cannot stress enough the importance of their roles within Movilla House and the local community.

“Most importantly this kind of dedication means that the residents of Movilla House receive the type of care they need and deserve. It is comforting to them and their families to know they are being cared for by people they know and know them, who treat them like their own relatives.”

Care Assistant Cathy Graham who celebrated 20 years of service said, “Working here is like being part of a family, it is a warm and welcoming place. As a carer I am proud of what we do and the quality of care. It is what I would expect for my loved ones. It’s also a fun place to be there are some many events and activities going on from professional singers and games to arts and crafts and pamper days.”

This year Movilla House Nursing Home celebrated its 32nd anniversary. Still independently owned, it strives to attract the most qualified and dedicated team of care home professionals available.
